Extubation criteria(Barash anesthesia)
A. Subjective clinical criteria
1.follow command
2.clear oropharynx/hypopharynx
3.intact gag reflex
4.sustainedhead lift at least 5 seconds, sustained hand grasp
5. Adequate pain control
6. Minimal end-expiratory concentration of inhaled anesthetics
B. Objective criteria
1.vital capacity at least 10 ml/kg
2. Peak voluntary negative inspiratory pressure more than - 20 cmH2O
3.tidal volume more than 6 ml/kg
4. Sustained tetanic contraction 5 seconds
5. TOF ratio > 0.9
6. A-a gradient less than 350 mmHg at FiO2 =1.0
7. Dead space to tidal volume ratio not more than 0.6
